Upgrade of 10 Lecture Theatre rooms at University of Sydney. Laminated Theatre tables with steel base, laminated plywood perforated wall panelling in custom patterned design, acoustic EchoPanel wall panelling, storage joinery, kitchenette, island bench joinery.

Overview

The upgrade of 10 Lecture Theatre rooms at the University of Sydney included theatre desking and various wall panelling types. Laminated theatre desks were laminated in a combination of colours to create a striking geometric graphic flow over the desks. EchoPanel was used on the theatre walls to improve the acoustics of the space by reducing the amount of hard wall surface. In other rooms a perforated plywood panel laminated in charcoal and blue was used. The plywood wall panelling was cut into a number of complex shapes, edged and pieced together by hand to create a detailed geometric pattern. The custom wall offers acoustic qualities as well as a striking aesthetic.
